Lumley Castle - Our First Wedding Anniversary

For our first wedding anniversary Adam had booked us in at Lumley Castle at Chester Le Street as a surprise. We spent the day shopping at the Metro Centre and then Adam gave out directions as to where I should drive to next. When we arrived at the Castle it was a complete surprise. Everyone was dressed in medieval costume and the Castle itself was fantastic. We were booked in the King James Suite which was unbelieveable. There was a large bedroom with a tall four poster bed with steps at the side to climb into bed. There was a fantastic jacuzzi corner bath which was so relaxing. A large lounge area and of course chocolates, champagne and flowers.

In the evening we were booked in at their fabulous restaurant. It was so romantic and the food was lovely.

Lumley Castle - Our Second Wedding Anniversary

We had enjoyed our first wedding anniversary so much at Lumley Castle that we decided to go again for our second one. This time we opted for the Romantic Package and we stayed in one of the Castle Suites. It was smaller than the King James Suite but it was still fantastic. We had a free standing victorian bath in the room which I could have lounged about it all day. It was so relaxing laying in a hot bubbly bath with a glass of champagne and a box of chocolates.
